If you are a talented and experienced IT Project Manager, Aplin has the right contract opportunity for you! Our Nisku-based client has an immediate requirement for a 6-month contract Project Manager.

Join our dynamic team as an IT Project Manager II and contribute to the successful delivery of cutting-edge projects. The Company is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager II to oversee a phase of a large complex project or multiple medium-sized Information Technology projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities to ensure project goals are achieved within scope, schedule, and budget. Excellent communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate a strong safety culture and adhere to safety and environmental policies and regulations.
  • Review project proposals to understand project scope, time frames, resource allocation, and staffing requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal teams, partners, and vendors through proactive communication.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop work plans and assign duties and responsibilities.
  • Manage contract-related matters and act as the main point of contact for vendors and customers.
  • Lead project activities to ensure progress aligns with schedule and budget.
  • Maintain up-to-date status reports and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Prepare and present project status updates to the executive team.
  • Resolve project issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Ensure consistent use of standard project management tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Proficiency in project management fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and MS Projects.
  • 5 years of experience as an IT liaison in a cross-functional environment or large projects.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
