Specifically, our client is looking to find a visionary, someone who wants to lead continuous improvement and excels at change management.

  • Develop and Execute the Manufacturing Engineering Strategy in collaboration with executive leadership and the leaders of Production, IT, R&D, Sales, Quality, Maintenance, Scheduling and Shipping that provides a sustained competitive advantage in operations excellence
  • Capture/Model the performance of current manufacturing capability (people, process, methods, and equipment/tools) including the selection, adjustment, and measurement of Key Performance Indicators suitable for current and future product lines and mass customization
  • Lead the LEAN/CI for the company from a holistic viewpoint and collaboration across functions for the development of strategies and execution for improved customer experience, performance, cost, cycle time, and quality
  • Research, plan and implement new programs and protocols as well as oversee the development of new products
  • Oversee the entire development process of new products and programs from the initial planning phase to implementation to production
  • Track all costs related to the creation of new products and decide what ideas are worth pursuing
  • Administer product testing and QC activities to meet engineering specifications—administer product quality testing that includes heat transfer, air, water & structural testing. Manage CNC programming and software integration with ERP system to enable the development of quotations, product pricing, bill of materials, product labels, product ratings, labor hours and material requirements for every product line
  • Develop a manufacturing vision for automation, robotics, AI, and future technologies that enable the company’s business strategy and sustained competitive advantage - lead the translation of this vision into reality through seasoned strategic planning and execution credibility
  • Develop an analytics capability for manufacturing performance modelling and in support of the LEAN/Continuous Improvement initiatives, customer experience, and major new capital business cases
  • Lead and grow a team of high performing manufacturing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) suitable for and aligned with the growth of the business
  • Keep abreast of advanced manufacturing methods, technology, and equipment appropriate in support of and to enable the company’s business strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
  • 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing
  • 3+ years’ experience as Director of Engineering in a manufacturing company
