Petroleum Service Technician

Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a Winnipeg-based company to hire a Petroleum Service Technician to join their team.  Our client does internal maintenance for their fuel service maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Service and maintain petroleum equipment, systems and accessories essential to site operation
• Repair and maintain leak detection systems
• Exercise considerable independent judgment in solving unusual work problems
• Help maintain strong, trustworthy, and lasting relationships with our existing and new clients that will ensure repeat business and free flowing referrals and focuses on client relationships to grow and maintain core client base
• Complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure the company health and safety policies and procedures are followed

Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined, with an affinity for solving mechanical problems; electrical knowledge is a plus
• Enjoys both working alongside a team and operating independently
• Able to make wise judgments when working independently, with no direct supervision
• Always looking for ways to do things better and more efficiently
• Has a desire to continually learn and follow directions when needed
• Organized, timely, and professional
• Takes pride in customer satisfaction, excellent communication skills, proven customer service skills

Additional Must Haves/Requirements:

• Valid Provincial Driver’s License
• TSSA Petroleum Mechanic Certifications (PM1, PM2, or PM3)
• Some daytime travel involved, but scheduled is manageable with a degree of flexibility
