Our British Columbia-based client has partnered with Suzanne Noesgaard, Consultant, to lead their next search for a Construction Site Supervisor in the construction industry. Based in Osoyoos, BC, this is a full-time opportunity with an organization prioritizing quality, integrity, and employee engagement. We are seeking a seasoned Site Supervisor who is comfortable with tight deadlines and driven to succeed. 

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee construction projects on-site from start to finish, according to schedule, specifications and budget
  • Communicate effectively with all employees, contractors, and sub-contractors
  • Hire, train and manage all employees on the project
  • Monitor performance of contractors, sub-contractors, and staff
  • Maintain the project budget and report any overages to the Construction Manager
  • Maintain the project schedule and report milestones
  • Allocate resources, materials, contractors, sub-contractors, and other staff
  • Utilize project management software to ensure the reporting it provides is current and accurate
  • Ensure contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors are met
  • Receive and verify the purchase of building materials
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes
  • Maintain compliance with quality control programs
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones; analyze, manage and mitigate risks

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Required Education, Experience, and Abilities:
  • Post-secondary education in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience in general construction is required, along with related leadership experience
  • Proven working experience in construction management and understanding of all facets of the construction process, having advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
  • Reliable computer skills, familiar with construction management software packages and basic Microsoft Office and Google software
  • Valid driver’s license
