This permanent full-time position is located in a rural municipality 90 minutes outside of a major centre. We are seeking a hardworking people person with strong communication skills and a background in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment or agricultural machinery

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate the processing and resolution of warranty claims and inquiries submitted by dealers/end users
  • Foster and maintain good client relationships, including following up to ensure that concerns are fully addressed and claims are completed promptly
  • Travel to dealer and field locations for troubleshooting or repairing equipment
  • Advise dealers/customers on repair or replacement of parts for best possible problem resolution; analyzes claims to determine root causes
  • Review and make suggestions for Parts Manual instructions to improve or enhance customer usage and understanding
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Quality Departments to work out problem areas on equipment and help in the evaluation of new products
  • Assisting others in completing workload requirements on service items as time permits
  • Maintained accurate documentation for clients, claims, repair work, schedules, parts orders, etc.
Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years experience in a mechanical field, ideally including some time in a customer service role
  • Mechanically inclined with an understanding of hydraulics and basic electronics
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Capacity to meet challenging schedules and to expertly manage priorities as new tasks arise
  • Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and conflict resolution
  • Computer literate with the capacity to learn new programs
  • Valid driver’s license
