Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a world-renowned client, to hire a Payroll Specialist for their Burnaby office, who will be responsible for processing full-cycle payroll and consulting with payroll clients.

This position will start with a 6-month contract term with select candidates having the opportunity to shift to permanent roles after the initial 6-month duration. This is a hybrid role and the expectation is to be in the office 2-3 times a week.

  • Ensure the efficient processing of multiple complex payrolls
  • Download, import, audit, and balance payroll hours from the Payroll systems
  • Manage agreement rate changes, benefits, and special payments
  • Manage Year End process inclusive of accurate T4 preparation, Year End Balance, and summarize final remittances
  • Support other Payroll functions, and be willing to train on other Payroll systems
  • 3+ years experience in full-cycle Payroll
  • PCP or other Payroll certification (completed or in progress)
  • Experience with payroll across multiple provinces
  • Experience with WorkforceNow, Pay@Work, or other popular payroll software
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple accounts
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingualism (French/English) will be considered an asset for this role
