Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with Aplin to hire a Digital Performance & Data Analyst to join their marketing team.  In this role, not only is analytics experience key, but so is marketing experience. You will create and present reports & dashboards using analytics to provide competitive strategic, data-driven insights and analysis for marketing plans and campaign objectives.

This is a permanent opportunity open to candidates in the Calgary area. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office a week.

  • Strategize, develop, and maintain reporting and dashboard creation processes for data-driven insights and results within Data Studio, SAP Marketing Cloud, Excel, SQL, and Microsoft Power BI. Design and execution of dashboards for various stakeholders
  • Execute day-to-day marketing, sales, and customer reporting responsibilities for multiple business units including the review and distribution of marketing and customer data, and various other trending reports
  • Lead advisor for insights, analytics, and reporting by providing KPIs and success criteria from both a business and a digital perspective to marketing specialists and various stakeholders
  • Proactively work to understand the business and sales strategies for business units to influence marketing KPIs and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the Digital and Creative teams on the development and implementation of the design of site experiments, testing opportunities via Personalization or A/B testing, and researching new data sources, integrations, and solutions for potential growth
  • Participate in the development of enhanced marketing analytics road mapping focused on full-funnel reporting
  • Conduct, lead and communicate reporting for Marketing Campaign Debrief meetings showcasing reports, results and strategic best practices, and key insights for current marketing initiatives and future campaigns. Ensure the integrity of all reporting data by validating data sources and reviewing data accuracy with stakeholders
  • Provide competitive strategic, data-driven insights and analysis for marketing plans and campaign objectives to the marketing team and other pertinent business units
  • Strong analysis of competitive marketing campaigns and reporting on key trends
  • Support, work closely with, and complete other duties, as required by the Digital Marketing team
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience in a marketing analytics role
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Data Sciences, or other relevant disciplines
  • Ability to utilize data to drive campaign tactics and strategies and to measure website effectiveness
  • Knowledge and understanding of data analytics and reporting systems
  • Effective understanding of analytical and reporting tools, including Google Analytics, Power BI, Data Studio, and SAP Marketing Cloud an asset
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for the preparation of reports
  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization
