You will be responsible for providing reliable data and analysis to be used in key decision-making. This position will report directly to the VP of Finance and has an excellent opportunity for growth.

This position is a hybrid in Dartmouth, NS.

Benefits and Perks:
  • Salary range: $130,000 to $140,000

Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting and budgeting
  • Provide support related to productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner
  • Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions
  • Monitoring and reporting on business performance against budget/forecast, identify trends, analyze causes of variances, and prove recommendations for improvement
  • Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights
  • Review and challenge program costs and estimates to complete, validate, and implement booking rate adjustments
  • Review and manage non-program costs, i.e., SG&A
  • Maintain and publish forward pricing rates, validating on a quarterly basis
  • Model the intersection of functional costs and booking rates to ensure no under recovery
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Partner directly with the Finance team and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews
  • Participating in strategic planning and cost management initiatives
  • Conducting financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Providing support for ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years in a similar position
  • Degree in Accounting or a similar field
  • Gain Canadian government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects
  • Experience in IT knowledge is a plus
