This hybrid role, is looking for a passionate and hardworking Senior Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their ever growing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and post all accounts receivable invoices.
  • Confirm invoices are billed in compliance with the contract terms and in accordance with the policy and procedures.
  • Ensure transactions are properly recorded and resolve discrepancies in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile payments to accounts receivable invoices.
  • Administer collection activities, such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, keeping track of cash receipts, and referring accounts to collection agencies as necessary.
  • Identify accounts and/or invoices that need dispute, escalation, final demand letter, and/or collections.
  • Prepare monthly accounts receivable aged listing reports and ad-hoc reports for management review.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolves customer issues.
  • Ensure all records, paper and electronic files, are entered correctly in the Records Management System and included on paper files.
  • Close inactive files, apply retention schedules, box records and send to Corporate Records for appropriate storage or disposal.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary diploma in Accounting or Finance.
  • Four or more years experience in an Accounts Receivable position.
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE or other full-scale software).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to ensure deadlines are met.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
  • Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
