Aplin has partnered with a privately-owned consulting company to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer for their growing operations in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This is a full-time opportunity with a remote work arrangement.

Responsibilities:
- Undertake the electrical design of projects with little or no direction
- Prepare proposals and project estimates for new business
- Oversee junior engineers and technologists
- Electrical design for residential, multi-residential, commercial, institutional, including but not limited to:
- Fire alarm systems and upgrades
- Site servicing plans, including power plans
- Lighting plans
- Generator review and installations
- Building electrical service upgrades
- Condition assessments
- Arc Flash Studies
- CCTV
- Project management and contract administration support assistance
- Coordinate and communicate with Electrical Utilities
- Maintain electrical data, documentation, and drawings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer/ Electrical Designer
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.)
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and regulatory codes
- Experience in planning, project management and contract administration
- Proposals and project estimation for new business
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong team player with ability to coordinate and work with other engineering disciplines
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, and Arc Flash
- Open to occasional site travel
