Responsibilities:
  • Manage small to medium-sized group accounts.
  • Manage, service, develop, and retain group clients for an existing book of health benefit plans of various employer groups within the city.
  • Attend group meetings, trade shows and conferences when appropriate and/or necessary.
  • Review, and update, contractual provisions and existing plans to greater benefit clientele, and cater to their needs, with the primary focus on retaining existing business.
  • Upsell by presenting renewals, introducing new products, and continuously focusing on retaining current accounts.
  • Ensure that the new business, retention and profitability targets are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with all sales divisions within the organization to ensure quotas and KPIs are met.

Qualifications:
  • Professionalism and excellence in sales ability and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exceed quarterly sales and retention quota. 
  • Previous work experience in group benefits, health insurance policies, and procedures, or similar fields.
  • Life, accident & sickness insurance licensing will be a mandatory requirement. 
  • Go-getter personality - with a drive to understand all aspects of the organization's business.
  • Strong sales process understanding and experience, with proven ability to meet quotas and KPIs. 
  • Ability to travel occasionally to clients.
  • Ability to strive through various communication platforms, and being comfortable making calls in person, over the phone, online, and via email.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with exceptional communication skills - with the public, peers, superiors, and co-workers.
