Aplin has partnered with one of our top clients to recruit an Innovation Advisor. This position is to fulfill a 12-month maternity leave contract. The position is with a very well-established Alberta company that is a leader in its industry.

The main focus of the position will be:
- Working within existing programs and being a key contributor for influencing innovation programs.
- Frontward facing with employees, which will include;
- structuring and planning employee workshops
- engaging in a pathway group to facilitate and deliver pitches to senior leadership.
- Organizing and managing focus groups, events, an innovation summit, and smaller break-out groups
- Working with the team to coordinate and communicate about events.
- Coach and support lean delivery of initiatives through sprints, problem identification, design, delivery, and deployment of prioritized initiatives.
- Enable organizational growth and value through innovation across all horizons.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in business, technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of related working experience At least three years of progressive experience in innovation, learning and development, design thinking, and continuous improvement.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suites and other analytical tools.
- Self-starter, results-oriented, with a track record of timely, high-quality deliverables
- Entrepreneurial mindset: nimble, action-biased, and able to iterate.
- Strong knowledge of Corporate Innovation; specifically the lean startup methodology and Business Model Generation.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, facilitation, conflict resolution, and analytical skills
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Ability to manage and deliver on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
