Systems Analyst – C#.NET/T-SQL/PL/SQL

Aplin has partnered with an Edmonton-based company to hire an experienced Systems Analyst to join their team. In this role, you would be working in a team environment to support vendor and custom applications.

Start date: ASAP
End date: December 31, 2024 (opportunity for extension)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications
• Apply technical expertise to correct incidents and problems.
• Gather requirements and documentation
• Actively consult with clients, peers, and managers in order to develop technical solutions to business problems.

Requirements and Skills:

• Must reside in Edmonton to work in a hybrid structure. The hybrid structure consists of three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remotely.
• Degree or diploma in Computing Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting, developing, and enhancing corporate applications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in query writing using T-SQL or PL/SQL against a commercial database such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting and maintaining commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) software
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft.NET C# programming
• Experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions and requirements documentation.
• Strong understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and how the framework applies to custom-build and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) implementations
• Ability to effectively perform quality assurance.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot low- to medium-complexity technical issues to identify the root cause and provide recommendations to address the issue.
• Ability to communicate highly technical information in a clear and concise manner to peers and business representatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills.
