Th Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be supporting specific departments, leaders and teams on all aspects of the talent management cycle from talent acquisition, performance development and coaching, onboarding and talent development, to employee relations, compensation decisions and leadership coaching to advance the high-performance humanistic culture. The HRBP will also lead and/or support the execution of HR initiatives and programs as defined by our vision and priorities in various areas including talent management, employee relations, employee engagement, culture transformation, organizational development to help drive a culture of high performance and strong employee engagement and retention. In addition depending on the incumbant’s prior experience and interests this role may lead and/or support initiatives in the areas of HR compliance and HR operations.
Reporting to the VP of HR and People Development, the HRBP is both a strategic and hands-on role and is critical to executing our talent initiatives and priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Acts as a trusted business partner providing coaching, guidance and support to assigned teams and leaders in the areas of talent management, succession planning, performance development, conflict resolution, employee relations, compensation, employee engagement, communication and change management
- Leads talent acquisition for assigned teams or roles in a way that ensures the best talent that fits with Wurth Canada’s culture is hired
- Supports leaders in the successful onboarding of new hires by partnering on the preparation of a solid onboarding plan for each new hire
- Collaborates with the HR team to continuously improve our processes in the areas of Employee Relations, Performance Development, investigations etc.
- Leads and/or supports HR initiatives and projects in collaboration with the HR team and internal stakeholders. Seeks out process improvement opportunities and leads initiatives to develop and implement solutions
- Provides people leadership coaching to leaders and supports their development as effective leaders
- Leads by example and helps leaders foster a value driven culture of accountability, engagement and high performance
- Leads and supports the development of company-wide policies, procedures and programs, aligned to industry best practice
- Helps drive employee engagement; works with leaders and teams to action engagement and culture programs and initiatives
- Delivers training on HR topics to leaders, new hires and teams
- Leads by example as an ambassador of our culture; drives change by partnering with business leaders and other internal groups to proactively manage changes impacting team members
Qualifications:
The Knowledge and Experience you bring to the role:
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field. A completed or near completion CHRP or CHRL certification preferred
- 5 years plus of progressive HR experience with prior experience in talent acquisition/recruitment and as an HR Generalist and/or HR Business Partner
- Prior experience in all areas of the HRBP role, including talent management, performance improvement, conflict resolution, employee relations, compensation, employee engagement, career development, recognition, communication and change management
- Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with leaders to support talent acquisition and management
- Strong knowledge of labour and employment laws in particular in Ontario. Knowledge of employment requirements in other provinces would be an asset (in particular BC, Alberta, Quebec)
- Experience leading and/or supporting HR projects from concept to implementation
- French (written and spoken)
