The Marketing Manager leads the development and implementation of marketing projects, campaigns, and promotions that support brand awareness, drive sales, and ensure customer retention.

This includes responsibility for the strategic and operational management of activities related to the conception, development, production, implementation, and maintenance of internal and external marketing and communications. The incumbent will have a passion to understand customers’ needs and beliefs and develop winning marketing strategies rooted in bringing value to our customers.

The Role:
  • Collaborate with leadership to define corporate marketing, communication and brand objectives and consolidate those into an overall plan
  • Design, implement, and lead initiatives to support the corporate marketing plan, including growing brand awareness and visibility in key markets.
  • Oversee creation of all marketing and branding material
  • Develop, implement, and manage effective digital marketing campaigns, platforms, and events that connect the client to the communities we serve within the north
  • Gather and review market analytics and other intelligence to validate current investment in the market and make recommendations to management in support of product and marketing plans and initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers across the organization.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with external service and product providers, such as web, graphic design, and videography vendors, merchandise suppliers, and technology service firms.
The Person:
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or another relevant field
  • 5+ years of demonstrated marketing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute market research projects and analyze market data, including analytics
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Strong planning and project management capabilities with experience in developing and managing timelines, schedules, budgets, vendors, and resources
  • Able to drive clarity and alignment amongst stakeholders
  • Demonstrated a high level of integrity, accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day-to-day work and long-term goals.
  • Fosters open communication, active listening, and value for all opinions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Nunavut geography and culture are assets.
  • Highly flexible with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
