Our client is a community-based, multi-service agency providing a wide range of community services for over 35 years. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist will support the organization with day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and training.
This is role is a 6-month contract with a possibility of going permanent.

- Compensation: 55k
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the full recruitment cycle including job postings, interviews, reference checks, and offer letters
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
- Act as a point of contact for employees on questions related to benefits, compensation, health & safety etc. through phone and e-mail
- Conduct investigations and resolve/escalate employee relations issues as needed
- Provide coaching and support to leaders on employee relations topics and interpreting HR policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS
- Perform various administrative tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent field
- A CHRP designation an asset
- 2 years of human resources experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Previous experience in a not-for-profit environment is an asset
