Responsibilities: 
  • Leads the IT Business Systems and Applications team, conducts operational planning, provides project management oversight, organizes, and allocates necessary IT resources based on needs
  • Builds collaborative relationships within the business and operational stakeholders and identifies critical areas for improvement associated with the implementation of technology or business processes
  • Evaluates existing systems and technologies and make recommendations to the Director, Information technology through a continuous development and improvement lens
  • Conducts business process analysis, workflow mapping, etc., to translate organizational needs into systems design, system improvements, and prioritization of initiatives based on operational and business impact
  • Identifies opportunities for automation, develops plans to integrate and improve existing business processes related to IT Applications
  • Develops risk management strategy to identify and address risks to project outcomes resulting from business systems, data systems, etc.
  • Works closely with Operations, Finance, and Decision Support teams on setting up success criteria, KPIs, OKRs and other dashboards to track performance against strategic goals
  • Manages IT budgets and resources, including preparation and ongoing management of estimates and plans
  • Provides thought leadership, consultation, and advice to the Leadership Team, develop business strategies that will improve efficiency within the organization
  • In collaboration with the Director, Information Technology leads the strategic planning initiatives within the technology team to align technology and business strategy

Qualifications:
  • University degree or college diploma in the field of computer science or information systems and a minimum of 8 years of related work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of previous management experience
  • Relevant leadership experience in a technology-oriented role
  • Strong experience in business process management, data mapping, data automation, mind mapping, workflow management, business process automation
  • Experience across the SDLC (Agile or Waterfall), including requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support, and maintenance
  • Ability to execute key technology initiatives within the with industry best practices
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to work well with internal business unit SMEs, external vendors, and end users in cross-functional teams who work remotely
