Aplin has partnered with a Southwestern Ontario-based company, a leading manufacturer and distributor of vinyl and aluminum siding, windows, doors and other exterior home improvement products to hire a Business Operations Manager to support their continuing growth strategy in Canada.

This dynamic and enthusiastic individual will be part of the leadership team  focused on the  continuous improvement of business practices and processes for quotes, order entry, technical support, and after-sales service. This includes building and managing a team dedicated to ensuring that the Business Development Manager, Regional Managers, and  Sales team are supported in every way possible to ensure a superior B2B customer experience.

  • Build a team of experts so that every step of the full cycle of window transactions is efficiently processed. This team will be the backbone for Business Development and Sales teams to support their achievement of the growth targets
  • Demonstrate both an understanding and capability in all jobs that report to you, so that you in turn can effectively train, provide back-up, and implement process improvements
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your team for peak performance
  • Understand how the pieces work together: sale cycle management, order desk, sales, and service
  • Monitor and react to business needs to manage workflow and add resources when necessary to meet both demand and customer service standard
  • Ensure that efficient processes and systems are being applied for providing quotes/technical support, and for processing window and door orders
  • Manage the after-sales service program for OPP glazed products, as well as manufactured products
  • Develop after-sales service for geographical areas not currently serviced
  • Participate in discussions/negotiations to support our Product Manager on window/door-related OPP partnerships.

You must be comfortable in a leadership role and at ease in communicating with subordinates, peers, and senior managers alike as you will be the point of contact for the escalation of any quality or quantity service-related issues. Other requirements include:
  • A completed post-secondary education in a business-related field or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience working in a leadership capacity in the window industry. It is imperative that you understand the industry, and have an appropriate level of technical knowledge, to impact the business
  • Advanced level of computer literacy
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives that results in positive outputs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills including listening and teambuilding
  • Bilingual would be a strong asset
