Aplin has partnered with a Halifax based company to find an Administrative Support Clerk for a 2-3 month contract. Reporting to the Payroll Manager you would be assisting in year end data entry for the payroll team.
Please note that the successful candidate would be required to work onsite in their Halifax office Monday to Friday.  Start Date is ASAP!

  • Assist payroll team with year end tasks as needed
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures with a high level of accuracy
  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Update existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Ideal Candidate:
  • Accounting or Administrative Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of appropriate software Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient in Excel Lookups
  • Experience in data entry
  • High attention to detail
  • Professional and organized
  • Experience with Chronos would be considered an asset
