CKF Inc. is a Canadian-owned and privately held Company founded in 1933 by entrepreneur and businessman R.A. Jodrey. The company began with a single plant in Hantsport, Nova Scotia and today CKF Inc. has five manufacturing facilities across Canada and two in the United States with a total workforce of 900 employees. Their Canadian operations produce foam, plastic, and molded pulp products, including disposable tableware, egg cartons, four-cup carriers, display containers, and a wide variety of other products for the food service industry, while their U.S operations produce moulded pulp protective packaging for a wide range of customers.

Vice President, Manufacturing

This newly created position will report to the President, and can be located in Toronto, Ontario or Hantsport, Nova Scotia. In this position, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of the company’s growth, continuous improvement and sustainability programs as it responds to policy changes on sustainable packaging trends. The ideal candidate will have exceptional business and financial acumen, with a proven history of innovation, growth and a passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.

As an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be at the helm of leading, mentoring and executing Strategic Planning, Sustainability, Continuous Improvement and Quality initiatives and act as spokesperson for CKF’s Sustainability & ESG efforts within industry associations. Working with cross functional teams such as Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations you will develop strategic approaches to business development and stakeholder engagement by fostering a sustainable future that leads to social and economic improvements.

As a long-term strategic thinker, you are an inspiring people leader with a reputation for being ambitious, innovative, meticulous, and adaptable. With a purpose-driven approach, you will develop strong stakeholder relations within and outside the organization and have an executive presence to interact at all levels in the organization and effectively embed a purpose-driven culture across the business.

The ideal candidate will hold a university degree, an MBA or other relevant designations coupled with senior leadership experience and proven financial success within a manufacturing environment, preferably the design and production of sustainable packaging solutions.
