In this role you will need to have a minimum of six (6) years experience developing new application solutions, upgrading existing applications, and providing continued support to existing applications. The work may include consulting, analysis and design of application architecture, application development, application support, and providing quality assurance. The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the portfolio of assigned applications for a department based on the requirements gathered, documented, and submitted by the business.

  • Able to provide detailed estimated effort for the software development life cycle
  • Will be Assessing service requests for validity and recommends solutions
  • Work closely with Architects to ensure the appropriate solutions and technology
  • Define development requirements and assists in the integration of third-party tools/applications
  • Will be participating in quality assurance activities, design and code reviews
  • Will review system and integration testing functions
  • Responsible for developing application code, architecture, specifications and technical interfaces
  • Testing and maintaining both functional and non-functional system components
  • Analyze data integrity issues with proposed and existing systems, recommends and implements solutions
  • Implement additions and enhancements to existing applications
  • Provide application support of the existing system
  • Problem solving/resolution
  • Document all application code and system configuration, along with software maintenance and administrative processes
  • Contribute to the creation of technical and operational guides, transition and deployment documents, and change requests


  • Extensive knowledge of data processing, n-tier technology platforms, and software applications in an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems networking, information security, relational databases, and web services design standards
  • Experience in the development and implementation standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Must have experience in developing new application solutions using .Net, C#, and VB.Net technologies, maintaining existing applications, and providing ongoing production support
  • Must have experience with modern web technologies, including but not limited to: JavaScript ES6, REST API, HTML5, CSS, Node.JS, as well as one or more front-end frameworks (such as React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
  • Must have experience with SharePoint (on-premises and online) and Office 365 is preferred
  • Ability to understand client’s needs and suggest best-suited options
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work under strict timelines and provide incremental deliverables within agreed upon timeframes
  • Experience working with GIS and spatial data. ESRI experience is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL Server and Oracle relational databases
