Do you enjoy being the ‘go-to’ person for the office? Stacey Danley, Senior Partner at Aplin, has partnered with a downtown Winnipeg, mid-sized, professional services firm to hire an Office Manager.  Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the successful candidate will ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the firm including human resources functions. 

Please note, this a a permanent, full-time, in-office position. 

  • Full cycle recruitment including job postings and conducting interviews
  • Processing payroll through Payworks and administering benefits
  • Managing the employee life cycle through to offboarding
  • Organizing office events and employee recognition
  • Supervising the receptionist and ensuring the front desk area is running smoothly
  • Acting as a liaison with the building manager including maintenance requests, furniture, and security
  • Managing staffing resources, attendance, and vacation tracking
  • Working closely with the training coordinator to ensure successful onboarding of new staff
  • Updating employee files and creating reports


  • 5+ years of experience as an Office Manager or Human Resources Generalist
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An aptitude for technology
  • An ability to work closely with the management team to reach consensus and drive business objectives forward
  • Related post-secondary education is an asset
