If you are a talented and experienced Recruiter, Aplin has the right opportunity for you! Our client in the logistics industry is looking to add a Recruiting Specialist for their Oakville location.
The Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for all day-to-day recruitment needs ranging from sourcing, screening, building the funnel, training/supporting managers, and more. Our client is looking for an individual with a proven track record of success in recruitment and the ability to quickly build a strong network of candidates in a specific market.  The incumbent will be part of a high-energy team and responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process.

  • Create and update job postings and advertise to applicable internal and external sources
  • Attract qualified candidates using innovative sourcing solutions with a variety of platforms including job boards, social media, company website, networking, schools, etc.
  • Partner with external agencies for difficult-to-fill roles on an as-needed basis
  • Provide support, guidance, and advice to Hiring Managers throughout the interview process to ensure fair and equitable processes are being followed in alignment with AODA and Employment Standards
  • Conduct full cycle recruitment for all position levels 
  • Conduct reference checks for potential candidates and assess the feedback with Hiring Managers
  • Proactively build a pipeline using various sources including, but not limited to job boards, networking, internal candidates, etc.
  • With a focus on continuous improvement, develop a robust recruitment strategy that attracts enough qualified candidates to effectively fill positions with minimal cost
  • Identify and attend various job fairs annually that target candidates qualified to fill existing and upcoming vacancies
  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • 2-5 years of recruitment experience, including full-time/part-time, technical/non-technical, hourly/salaried
  • Campus recruitment experience is an asset
  • High volume recruitment experience
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS
