1st or 2nd Class Power Engineer – Estevan, SK or Coronach, SK
The Power Engineer is responsible for directing and participating in the efficient operation of plant turbines, generators, emission control systems and associated auxiliaries to meet generating requirements. In this role you are also responsible for conducting equipment inspections, participate in preventative maintenance programs and direct, coach and train staff. The role falls within the scope of the IBEW and offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, along with a pension program and significant opportunity for future upward mobility within the company.
The successful candidate must possess a First or Second Class Power Engineering Certificate and a valid license, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Facilities Operator or in an equivalent role. You must have the ability to make and implement sound decisions under emergent condition and bring strong leadership and cooperation skills. Superior written and verbal communications skills are a must as well.
