Frequently Asked Questions

Are your offices currently open?
Not at this time. Our offices are currently closed to the public and our employees are working remotely.
What is your company's policy around coronavirus?
In response to measures enacted by provincial and federal governments, our offices closed on March 16, 2020. All Aplin employees continue to work remotely during this time. All temporary candidates will be asked to complete a self-assessment questionnaire to determine their current exposure to COVID-19 before being placed on assignment.
What is your company's Work From Home (WFH) policy during this time?
We are temporarily requesting that all Aplin employees work from home.  This policy may shift as new guidelines and recommendations are released from government officials.
How will the pandemic affect my application?
Some positions may be postponed or cancelled at the discretion of our clients; however, your application will remain on file. If the position you applied for is still open or re-opens in the future, you will be contacted if our recruiters would like to schedule an interview. All temporary candidates will be asked to complete a self-assessment questionnaire to determine their current exposure to COVID-19 before being placed on assignment.
Should I apply now, or postpone my application due to the current COVID situation?
We are hiring! Please apply if you meet the required skills. A recruiter will be in touch to schedule a call.
Why haven't I heard from a recruiter regarding my job application?
We receive a high volume of inbound applications which may result in a delayed response. If you don't hear from a recruiter right away, it is likely that other candidates' backgrounds more closely met the necessary qualifications. We keep your information on file in our database and a recruiter may contact you if a future position matches your skills.
I have an interview scheduled with a recruiter, will it be in person?
In doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19, currently we are meeting candidates virtually. Your recruiter will provide video meeting details. Please note that all temporary candidates will be asked to complete a self-assessment questionnaire to determine their current exposure risk to COVID-19 before being placed on assignment.
I have an interview with a potential employer, should I still show up?
If you have an onsite interview scheduled, please proceed as planned. Follow all regulatory guidelines such as wearing a mask, washing your hands, and maintaining a social distance of 6-feet. Please avoid handshaking. If you need to postpone your interview or have concerns about attending an interview onsite, please reach out to your recruiter. We will coordinate a new interview time that works best for you or discuss what other options are available.
I am concerned about my safety. Are there options to re-schedule my interview?
Absolutely. Please reach out to the recruiter you've been working with to set up a video interview or discuss delaying your onsite interview.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO, JEFF APLIN

As a leader in recruitment and staffing, we want to share what we’re doing to help support those we serve in Canada during these uncertain times. We are taking the COVID-19 pandemic seriously, and with several provinces already declaring a state of emergency, our mission to positively impact people's lives is taking on a new meaning.

During this time of uncertainty with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we would like to assure our customers that David Aplin Group remains committed to providing our services uninterrupted. The health and safety of the entire Aplin team and the people we serve is our top priority. To limit the potential impact of COVID-19, all offices are closed to the public and Aplin team members have been advised to work remotely from home. All interviews will be conducted by video or phone. All temporary candidates will complete a self-assessment questionnaire to determine their exposure risk to COVID-19 before being placed on assignment.

We know how important our services are to our customers. At this time, David Aplin Group is operational and we will post any updates here. For more information about COVID-19, please visit Canada’s Public Health website.
