At DAR, we value our support staff and see our Recruiting Assistants as key, and much relied upon, people in the office. This role is an integral part of the overall success of the branch. The valued support functions you provide will enable our Recruiters to become more efficient and focused, allowing them to concentrate specifically on revenue generating activities.
To be successful in this role, you must be quick, energetic, bright, positive, self-motivated, organized, and resourceful. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be very well versed on MS Office and be able to take initiative.
There is much variety in this role, and you will be required to multi-task on a minute to minute basis. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Responsibilities:
- conduct both preliminary references and more in-depth references for qualified candidates
- become a MaxHire power-user, and assist Recruiters with MaxHire related tasks including importing resumes, tracking activities, opening job orders, posting job descriptions, managing duplicate records, preparing mailing lists, enter interview notes in candidate files, etc.
- follow up with candidates on behalf of recruiters.
- call candidates to pre-screen and schedule recruiter/candidate interviews.
- set up candidates for in-house testing.
- coordinate interview schedules with candidates and clients
- organize and file hardcopy notes of interviews for future reference
- provide backup/relief for receptionist at lunch and holidays
Requirements:
- relevant degree or diploma
- proficient in all MS Office applications
- strong understanding of relational databases
- ability to effectively organize and prioritize
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- experience in a sales support and/or customer service role considered a great asset
This role will offer variety in your day-to-day activities but will require the patience, professionalism, and organizational skills of a strong support person.
Your hours of work will be from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm Mon-Fri, with an hour lunch break. Flexibility and occasional overtime is required.
You will report to the Vice-President, Edmonton, but will be required to support all office staff.
